Branka Milijančević, better known by her pseudonym Branka Black Rose, is a Serbian stripper and entrepreneur. She was born on December 27, 1972, in Šabac and currently lives and works in Belgrade. She began her career as a stripper in 1999 and quickly gained numerous fans in Serbia and the region. Two years later, she founded a school for male and female striptease. In 2006, she established her first three strip clubs in Belgrade. By 2018, she had opened another club in Belgrade and one in Budva.
Branka hosted the television show Apolonia Aphrodite, acted in the film Stars of Love, and appeared in the music video for the song Mira Škorić by rapper Ivan Ivanović, better known as Juice. She was also a participant in the reality show Zadruga, but she quickly left the isolated house.
She has published two books—a poetry collection titled Waves of Life and a book called Out of Step with Time. Branka is a frequent guest on national television programs, where she openly discusses various “taboo” topics such as sex, erotica, sex toys, prostitution, and infidelity. During these appearances, she always emphasizes that there is no prostitution or drug use in her clubs and that stripping should never be equated with prostitution.
Branka Milijančević was born in 1972 in Šabac and moved to Belgrade in 1990. She married young and soon had two sons, Vladimir and Aleksandar. In an interview, she admitted that she worked various jobs to support them, including in butcher shops and bakeries.
She started stripping in 1999, claiming it happened spontaneously. At a private party celebrating a friend’s departure to the military, she encouraged all the guests to undress. The guest of honor asked her how long she had been a stripper, and she honestly replied that it was her first time undressing in public. On his recommendation, she began considering a career in striptease, and in 2000, she performed publicly for the first time with a plush rose, which later inspired her stage name, “Branka Black Rose.”
Realizing her potential in the business, she founded a school for male and female stripping in 2001 and formed a dance group that began performing in clubs across Serbia. Soon, she caught the attention of club owners throughout the region and became a popular performer in many cities across the former Yugoslavia.
Her school and dance group received media attention not only in Serbia but also across Europe. She appeared on BBC in the UK and RAI in Italy and gave interviews to British magazines.
In 2005, she opened the Erotica Fair and was declared the first lady of Serbian erotica. The following year, she opened three strip clubs in Belgrade. That same year, she received an “Oscar” for being the queen of Serbian striptease and had the honor of opening and closing the Erotica Fair in Belgrade.
Today, Branka operates three strip clubs in Belgrade under the name Club Black Rose 1, 2, and 3, Club Black Rose Montenegro in Budva, and Black Rose VIP in the Serbian capital. According to the official website, Black Rose VIP offers visitors full-nude strip shows, go-go and dance performances, belly dancing, male stripping, and private dances in separate rooms.
Although she has not performed for several years, Branka frequently highlights the distinction between strippers and prostitutes during television appearances. She claims that her clubs do not employ women who use drugs or engage in sex work. Over the years, she has developed strict methods to prevent both behaviors.
As her popularity grew, Branka began receiving offers for television and film roles.
In 2001, she filmed Life with Branka Black Rose, and in 2003, she hosted and produced the television show Apolonia Aphrodite on Sv. Đorđe TV in Inđija. The show covered topics such as erotica, sex, and fashion.
Two years later, she starred in Stars of Love, a romantic comedy directed by Milan Spasić, featuring actors Saša Joksimović, Dragan Nikolić, Ivan Bekjarev, Vojin Ćetković, and Bogdan Diklić. The script was written by Spasić and Aleksandar Generalski, and Branka played the role of a Modest Woman.
After that, she withdrew from the media for a while. In 2015, she appeared in the music video for the song Mira Škorić by rapper Ivan Ivanović Juice.
In 2017, she joined the reality show Zadruga. However, her reality TV career was short-lived as she struggled with the aggressive atmosphere in the house. She was suspended on September 8 after jumping over the fence and entering the production area. Branka later admitted that her stay in Zadruga was extremely stressful. She said she could not tolerate the constant fights, shouting, and insults among the contestants. After a conflict with singer Saška Karan (Slavka Gazivoda), she jumped over the fence and left the show.
In the meantime, she has been a guest on numerous national television programs, discussing taboo topics such as sex, infidelity, and the use of sex toys.
Branka has stated in Serbian media that she has been writing since she was 15 and often won literary competitions in school.
She published her first poetry collection, Waves of Life, in 2002. The collection includes love poetry, as well as humorous and uplifting poems. She found inspiration in her own life experiences and the lives of those close to her. The book was printed by Narodna Knjiga, but due to disagreements with the publisher, it was never sold in bookstores. Instead, Branka gave copies to fans at her performances, as well as to friends and acquaintances. All proceeds from book sales were donated to the Children’s Hospital in Trišova Street in Belgrade.
In 2010, she published Out of Step with Time, which writer Isidora Bjelica described as a story about “the biblical gap between the stone-throwers and the sinner, between truth and false morality, between a pure soul and hidden corruption, and ontological immorality.”
All proceeds from this book were donated to the Center for the Protection of Infants, Children, and Youth in Zvečanska Street in Belgrade.
Branka has always had a passion for fashion. In 2004, she launched a clothing line called Buy Black Collection at the Ellington Club of the Hyatt Hotel. She stated that the idea was born from her hobby of designing stage outfits, and the collection was available for both retail and wholesale.
The following year, she opened a boutique in Belgrade that sold her designs, as well as erotic lingerie. Additionally, she launched Top Body Fit Studio in New Belgrade, which, besides a traditional gym, offered massages and modern body-shaping equipment.
In December 2020, Branka launched an internet television channel called Sloboda, promoting it as something new and unseen in the Balkans for a long time. She stated that her channel would not cover politics but did not rule out addressing topics that “insult our intelligence.”
She revealed that journalist and writer Svetlana Đokić would host some programs, and Dragi Domić, known from Zvezde Granda, would also be involved in the project.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted her plans. The restrictions introduced in Serbia negatively affected the operation of her clubs. In an interview during a vacation in Budva in August 2021, Branka admitted that she had considered retirement but was convinced otherwise by her fans’ reactions.
Branka Milijančević was born in 1972 in Šabac and has lived and worked in Belgrade since 1990. She graduated from a Pedagogical Academy.
Before becoming Serbia’s most famous stripper, she worked in bakeries, butcher shops, and various stalls. She entered the lucrative stripping business to support her sons, Vladimir and Aleksandar.
Branka has been candid in media appearances, openly discussing her past, including infidelity and her temper. While she admitted she is quick to anger, she also claimed she calms down just as fast. Despite her strong personality, she was unable to handle reality TV and left Zadruga early, reportedly facing a large financial penalty
